It's
the food which marks the Miners Arms out as something a little
bit special.
In a world dominated by gastro-pubs and pre-prepared, microwaveable dishes,
here's the real deal - good, wholesome, plentiful meals
prepared fresh for the table by a chef who loves nothing more than that
his customers love their food as much as he does.

Hosts Jeff and Gwenda Page both believe that the pub itself, its location
and its place in the local community make the Miners Arms a wonderful
place to visit.
Set deep in the heart of the most spectacular scenery
Mid-Wales can offer, the Miners Arms at Pontrhydygroes offers the warm
welcome that's synonymous with these hillsides. Its real ale,
kept at just the right temperature for the discerning beer lover, is just
part of the delights.
The well-kept cellar features a host of hand-picked New
World wines, the bar stocks some peculiar whiskies, including
Wales' own Penderyn, and, for the session drinker, look no further than
the chilled lagers on draught.

Jeff and Gwenda have created cosy, well equipped accommodation
rooms at the pub top to cater for the growing number of tourists discovering
the treasures of the region.
